In geographical terms, the United States is quite literally on the other side of the world for Australians and New Zealanders. But that didn’t prevent Delaware North associates from coming together to help those in need.

Delaware North’s Australian and New Zealand operations recently undertook a number of activities to raise nearly $2,000 to support relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, which devastated parts of Texas.

Delaware North associates enjoy a pot luck-style lunch that featured international fare, while raising funds for Hurricane Harvey relief.

The Delaware North corporate office in Melbourne, Australia, hosted a pot luck-style lunch with international fare, where associates made cash donations. The wide range of cuisine included Cornish pastries, curries from India and Bangladesh, Chinese moon cakes, Scottish salmon, German pasta, a Swedish potato bake, Krispy Kreme donuts from the U.S., and Vegemite sandwiches and meat pies from Australia.

Delaware North at Wellington Airport donated a joint amount of $350 to the cause, while associates from Perth Airport made online contributions.
