On Friday, May 9, 2014, the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation held the 2014 Spirit of Preservation Celebration at the Saratoga Automobile Museum.  The Spirit of Preservation Celebration recognizes organizations and individuals who have fostered historic preservation in the City of Saratoga Springs, contributing to its quality of life.

In honor of National Preservation Month, Saratoga Spa State Park and its partners were recognized for the private/public partnerships that have helped preserve the park system.  As one of many partners, Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts received an award for its critical role in preserving the Gideon Putnam Resort and the Roosevelt Bath House.

Other park partners recognized who have contributed to historic preservation and make use of buildings that would otherwise remain vacant or underutilized include the National Museum of Dance, Saratoga Automobile Museum, The Friends of the Saratoga Spa State Park, Save the Victoria Pool Society, The Home Made Theater, Opera Saratoga, New York State Court System, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and the Waldorf School.
