Hospitality students strike a pose at Grand Canyon’s Mather Point amid a tour of Delaware North’s operations at Grand Canyon National Park.
Hospitality students from the Northern Arizona University W.A. Franke College of Business: School of Hotel and Restaurant Management on Feb. 2 visited Delaware North’s operations at Grand Canyon National Park.
Along with a quick visit to Mather Point, the students toured Delaware North’s newly opened Starbucks in Tusayan and got a behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant operations at Yavapai Lodge.
“They enjoyed a Yavapai Tavern tasting menu, prepared by Sous Chef Kristopher Fahey and his team, while they learned about Delaware North and our hospitality internship opportunities this summer,” said Joe Rabon, Delaware North’s director of human resources at the Grand Canyon. “It’s always nice to give students a taste of a day in the life in our business; extending beyond the classroom is an important exercise.”
